There hasn't been a whole lot that has changed with Shailee today, she is still stable, and her chest x-rays are still coming up the same. They did do a blood transfusion on her today to get her red blood cell count up, and since they did that her skin is much pinker (she was very pale), and she hasn't been having the bad spells like she was. After they did the transfusion they also gave her LASIK (antidiuretic) so she wouldn't have a fluid over load since she has pnuemonia as well. They are also having her lay with her left side up because she has more fluids in her left lung then the right so it is suppose to help break it up, and they are also doing chest therapy with her as well to help break some of the stuff up in her lungs. they tell me that she is acting much better today after the transfusion and she has been more active, but she is still a bit touchy since she doesn't feel good. they also told me today that they are not looking at surgery for her for at least three more weeks because they want to get her better and make sure she will stay stable before they do it. other then that nothing new has happened today. i will update more tomorrow.

Hi. I have just stumbled onto yr blog and wanted to say hello. My dd is nearly 4 and has cri du chat and partial trisomy 14q and glycogen storage disease type 0. Reading yr blog is reminding me so much of her early days. After the first 3 months things calmed down for a while.
Wishing you all the best. If you want to contact me schmoo_76@hotmail.com please do x
